Meet the Artist: Momma Rain
I have been making Art for as long as I can remember and have always strived to share with others how I see and feel the world. I have been creating art as Momma Rain for the past ten years as I raised my Son and cared for my Mother. Being a first-generation Filipino-American raised outside of DC, I grew up exposed to many different cultures and learned empathy from a very early age.
My Artwork is a reflection of how I see the world - saddened and disturbed by social issues that have been a part of American culture forever and new issues that in the past several years have seem to come from all around but also with a sense of hope and humor as a way to move forward and a cope with tragedies. I attempt to capture the beauty in the people I meet everyday and to share that with the world through my art.
