"Chasing Indigo" by Wildege Francois
The dreamer
Predator
And prey
The child remembered that they weren’t allowed to cry. The child remembered that their father hated children that did. The child remembered that streams of vulnerability could drown you. So the woman remembered that she would never learn to fly if she was too preoccupied with fears of drowning. So with a big gulp of the sky; she took in all that gravity had to offer. A weightless projection of everything the power of the flame had to give. The woman remembered that no one could dictate her end. The woman remembered she is not an animal for domesticating. The child remembered their flame burning, the angry baby bird. The woman remembered her reflection; a beautiful bird of fire. A song in the wind; echoing generations of strength passion and endless fluidity. Just as mercury it travels in all directions, yet never to be divided. The beautiful being is amped, fueled, and soars in dedication to the heat burning within. The view from the ground up, through the specks of light that blind but entice the innocent eye.. Only the child knows you.

Meet the Artist: Wildège François
Moving through the journey of selfhood is allowing your body to experience everything it needs to feel. To not turn it off, abuse it or ignore it but instead, recognize that It is the only vessel of expression that we can truly embody. Acknowledging that it has the power to break, birth, empower, die, seduce, dream, fly and fall, so from one experience to another, your body moves, adapts, and evolves. It is our metaphor for creation and quite literally does everything it can to keep us alive. So speaking in the language of colors, you allow the body to manifest a metaphysical understanding of all-encompassing elements that involve bodily emotion. The human experience connects us. The same blood you bleed, the tears you cry, the way we scream, the way we love, laugh, and dream has the potential to drag us in one way or another. However in essence are they not essential to the experiences that make us feel the most alive?
